Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Banana2.1 ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website and services. Banana2.1 is an independent service and is not affiliated with Google.
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Your name, email address and password (stored only in hashed form), or the basic profile details Google or GitHub share with us when you sign in with them.
- Prompts and Images: The text prompts you write, the reference images you upload, and the images generated for you.
- Payment Information: Your plan, orders and credit history. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, generation history and time spent on the site.
- Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system and language settings of the device you use.
- Communications: Messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To provide the Services, including sending your prompts and images to our AI model provider, which runs Google's Nano Banana 2.1 model, to generate and edit images
- To manage your account, credits, subscriptions and payments
- To provide customer support and respond to your messages
- To send service emails such as email verification, password reset and billing notices
- To understand how the Services are used and improve them
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse of free credits and violations of our Terms
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your prompts or images to train our own AI models.
Data Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Your generated images and uploaded reference images are stored in our cloud storage and served from a long, hard-to-guess link; anyone you share that link with can open the image. You can ask us to delete them, or your entire account, at any time. We may keep limited records, such as payment records, where the law requires it.
Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords, to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Third-Party Services
We share information with service providers only as needed to run the Services:
- AI model provider: processes your prompts and uploaded images with Google's Nano Banana 2.1 model to generate and edit images.
- Payment processor: processes payments and manages subscriptions.
- Hosting and storage providers: run the website and store your images.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: checks that sign-ups come from a real person, using signals from your browser and device.
- Email provider: delivers account and service emails.
- Analytics providers: help us understand how the site is used (see our Cookie Policy).
- Sign-in providers: Google or GitHub, if you choose to sign in with them.
We may also disclose information when required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@banana2-1.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children's Privacy
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
